Surgical Experience of Double Chambered Right Ventricle -One Case Report-

Abstract
Double chambered right ventricle(DCRV) is a rare congenital heart disease caused by anomalous muscle
bundle traversing the sinus portion of the right ventricle wall beneath the infundibulum.
We have experienced a case of DCRV 24-year old female patient.
Preoperative cardiac catheterization and cineangiography revealed 146mmHg pressure gradient between
right ventricle inflow and outflow portion, and filling defect by anomalous muscle bundle in the sinus
portion of right ventricle.
On operation, resection of the anomalous muscle bundle for relief of the obstruction was performed
through the vertical RV-tomy and RA-tomy site with cardiopulmonary bypass.
Post operative EKG showed incomplete RBBB, but hemodynamic problems were not developed.
Postoperative course was smooth and discharged without any problems.
